Ok this is definatly my last post till after christmas. If ur not familiar with the Raven Rv02 case, theres a few pics HERE. You will notice that everything is turned 90 degrees so that all ur components (mouse, kb, monitor etc) plug in at the top of the case. Then a cover goes over the top to hide all the cables. The mesh on this cover seperated from the plastic surroundings fairly easily so I decided to paint it red
. i did this at work and unfortunately i forgot to bring my camera with me so i only have before and after pics. And yes they are batman bed sheets in the background….you know you are jealous.
Before.
After
!
Mounted.
Different angle.

With the Powermac G5 cases you can keep the original back panel by using a micro-atx motherboard, however I felt that was somewhat of a waste, and seeing as I didn’t mind having an ugly back panel in exchange for ultimate compatibiilty and easy access to ports. What I did was buy a cheap $20 ATX computer case, cut it up and put it inside the Powermac case. I then cut as little as possible out of the back of the Powermac case to accomodate the new shape. I think I did a pretty good job considering my total lack of metal working skills. I have not done anything since, and my next steps will be to actually buy a motherboard and a power supply so I can start to get things on track one piece at a time. First will be power supply which I might do tommorrow. Because everything is upside down and these cases were never intended to have anything that met any worldwide standard, I will have to be creative and safe with how I mount the Power supply in the bottom.
